YES Global Initiative has been selected by Pratt & Whitney and the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) as a winner of the 2024, meet more awardees here; Global E-STEM Awards. The E-STEM Awards bestowed grants totaling $250,000 to 14 nonprofit organizations in 11 countries, demonstrating remarkable commitment to advancing environmental, science, technology, engineering, and math (E-STEM) education programs for underrepresented students ages 11–22. This award supports the Phase -2 of our TEEN Project which is a one-year expansion focused on integrating Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) principles when training our students in Environment and climate literacy aimed at boosting and inspiring their innovative environmental action in Uganda. This program is aimed at equipping students with practical skills and knowledge to address real-world environmental challenges in their communities with innovative technological solutions.
We are building upon the existing Green Champions Clubs established in our benefiting schools in Uganda to pass on these E-STEM programs.
