As our gesture for a collective action to raise awareness about the importance of proper waste management as a sure way to ensure environmental sustainability. YES Global Initiative launched the idea of “Community Clean-Ups” just to use it a platform to remind many Ugandans about our responsibility to ensure a clean and a healthy environment as it is promised by our constitution. So far we have been able to launch our first clean up activity in Kasangati Town Council with partnership from other civil society organizations, the corporate entities, schools and the community members.

This was as well a sure way to celebrate last year’s World Environmental Day” which was themed at “Kicking plastics away from our environment”

Our plan is to at least do one or more clean-ups per month.
