CEE-Change Fellowship Award 2023

We are excited to announce that our Founder and Executive Director joins 29 other environmental educators selected by The North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) as part of the 2023 CEE-Change Fellowship cohort. CEE stands for Civics and Environmental Education.  Mr. Richard Tusabe is part of an international community of passionate educators working to build an equitable and sustainable future within the environmental education field through a joint civics and environmental education Community Action Project.  Richard is a passionate environmental enthusiast and advocate, dedicated to empowering young people in environmental management. He is currently pursuing an MS in Climate Change and Development at Makerere University in Kampala, a new and captivating program in which he is one of the pioneering cohort. He has participated in the development and implementation of a number of projects aimed at nurturing environmentalism in young individuals especially in schools. In 2020, he was inspired to form this organization “Global Initiative for Young Environmental Initiative (YES Global Initiative),”   a grass-root, youth-oriented nonprofit organization working to engage and inspire children and youth towards positive environmental action. Richard is currently holding the responsibility to help our organization grow in terms of capacity and relevancy in the face of environmental education in our country with a focus on promoting a green curriculum in schools and fostering green jobs for the youth.

As YES GLOBAL INITIATIVE, we are highly appreciative of this opportunity accorded to him by NAAEE and we are optimistic this is a great foundation for us to benchmark on this opportunity to grow better our capacity and make more relevance to our beneficiaries.  Find more from Richard CEE-Change  bio Richard’s CEE-Change bio here
